With today’s economy, it is no surprise that people are looking for ways to save on household expenditures. Many people overlook some of a few basic tricks that will reduce their grocery bill significantly, without drastically changing the way they shop, or the brands they buy.

One easy way is to buy in bulk. First, grab a few of those big freezer bags—the tighter the seal, the better. Then, buy the largest packs of meat you can find, and split the meat into portions that fit your family. Put them in those handy freezer bags and store them for a later date. You want the best bags to prevent freezer burn, so loose a few pennies here and invest in a good brand. You can also do this with fruits and vegetables, and if you clip a few coupons out of the newspaper, you can save even more. Do not be afraid to hunt for coupons online—many stores honor them and they can save you a ton of money.

Don’t stop at fresh items for buying in bulk; dry goods come in large sizes, too! Moreover, these have a longer shelf life than your frozen meat, so just invest in some cheap containers to store your extra supplies, and you will not have to worry about buying flour, sugar, beans, or even syrup for a long time to come. Again, use coupons liberally to help save!

Buying in bulk will not only save you money, it will save you time as well. As opposed to restocking your favorite mayonnaise every two weeks, if you buy a big jar you cut down on the number of items you have to have from week to week. Suddenly you are making one big trip once a month instead of numerous little trips that can lead to impulse buying. Go in with a list, and stick to the list. Do not always buy something just because it’s eye-catching—that is what the store wants!

Though many people balk at changing brands, it is a good way to save a few cents, or sometimes even dollars. Experiment with the smaller portions, and if you cannot taste a difference, buy it in bulk, too. Hunt up the sales—it helps if you look at the flyers you get in the mail instead of simply throwing them in the trash or lining the birdcage with them like most people do. Plan your meals around the sales and coupons and watch the dollars drop off your grocery bill.

If you absolutely must buy a particular brand, again, go for the coupons. Check out different stores in your area and see which ones have the best prices for the items you cannot live without, and buy in bulk. You would be surprised at the difference between your local Mom and Pop grocery store specials versus the big supermarket prices. You will always come out on top if you shop around. Remember these tips and your grocery bill is sure to shrink!

How many of us receive those annoying junk mails that are filled with cash of vouchers and money off coupons and through them in the bin immediately. Have you ever considered their worth or value?

I once got so mad about the junk mail coming through my door I decided to test a theory by saving up all the coupons and vouchers I received over a month. When I looked through them, I was really surprised to see that just over half of them were not relevant to my living style but I was surprised to see that just under half of them were. Now maybe this was just lucky, or maybe it really is done through market research and my needs were matched. I really should test the theory again to find out.

So what did I do when I noticed that they were matched to my needs?

I went through them organizing them into little categories and matching them to the stores I used. I will add at this point that I did lose out on a few due to missing the closing date for usage on them which was slightly disappointing, however; mainly my own fault. I did however; have several left which totaled over £10 sterling (around $21 USD).

Some of the vouchers where for use on internet sites I used and others were for actual groceries. Needless to say I used them all and got my groceries for £4 less and ordered pizza twice saving around £3 each time.

How do you use them?

Grocery coupons are simple to use they normally state one of three things

•	Use by date

•	By two get the third free

•	Spend $10 get another $3 free

Two things to check before using your coupons or voucher however; make sure you use it before the end date on the conditions, which are always written clearly on the back of the coupon, and Make sure you are using the voucher in the correct store.

You can get your shopping and use the coupons when you’re paying for your final bill. The cashier should take the price of the item or the cost of the voucher from your total bill. When you have a two for three voucher make sure the third is the right brand or type as some limit you on what the third item will be. The easiest coupons to use are the ones that state if you spend a certain amount the coupon will cover another (extra amount of) dollars each. These are simple and easy to use but rare. You do your shopping, making sure you spend exactly the amount required and then add on an extra (however much the coupon covers) to your basket. The cashier will do the rest for you.

So from now on when you receive the junk mail, check it for coupons before trashing it immediately. You never know you could save a small fortune on groceries or even dig into a home delivered pizza for half the price.

The North American Poker Tour is one of several regional poker tours started and sponsored by PokerStars. 2010 marks the first year for the NAPT and the North American Poker Tour is expected to command the attention of avid poker tournament players residing in the US, and Canada, as well as the rest of the world. Players can choose to buy in directly to NAPT events or they can qualify online. The online qualifiers for the North American Poker Tour are held exclusively at PokerStars. Additionally, poker players may qualify live to gain entry to the PCA Main Event.

The 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure kicked off the 2010 NAPT in Atlantis and consisted of fifty poker tournaments, which includes the $10K PCA Main Event. The main event for PCA presented yet another record breaking field, as 1528 poker players came together to play in the first ever North American Poker Tour event. First place for the 2010 PCA Main Event went to Harrison Gimbel, who took down the $2.2 Million first prize. Gimbel had won his seat in the PCA via a live satellite that was held in Atlantis, which cost him $1K.

In addition to the luxurious Atlantis Stop, the North American Poker Tour has booked two other tour stops throughout North America for 2010. The NAPT plans stops in Vegas at the beautiful Venetian in February, as well as the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT. The Main Events for both the North American Poker Tour Venetian and the NAPT Mohegan Sun are priced under $5000 for entry. Online satellite qualifiers at PokerStars and live satellite tournaments will be available for each NAPT event. Tournament players may also buy in directly.

The North American Poker Tour Main Event tournaments are deep stacked, as each player begins with either 20K or 30K in tournament chips. The blinds begin at 50-100 and Day 1 features sixty-minute rounds, while the amount of time per round is increased to seventy-five minutes beyond Day 1. The deeper stacked structure of the North American Poker Tour allows for significant poker play. Antes for the NAPT Main event are introduced during the fifth round of play.

While the WSOP has historically been the most prestigious event in the poker world, it is widely believed that the North American Poker Tour will quickly gain steam, especially if it follows suit with other highly successful tours that PokerStars has brought to market, like the European Poker Tour or the Asia Pacific Poker Tour. More events are expected to be added to the NAPT in the very near future.

7 Card stud differs from other varieties of poker games because a 7 card stud player is able to see some of the cards his opponents hold. This influences the way a player can play certain hands. It makes some hands very live, as well as making other hands completely dead. To master 7 card stud, players must use the information about the cards their opponents hold to their advantage. By failing to utilize the information up cards provide, a stud player is missing a huge opportunity to improve their game.

A stud player’s hand that he holds loses value when an opponent has his cards showing as his up cards. If an opponent has his cards showing as up cards too, it means that a stud player is less likely to hit or improve his own hand. This is because there are less live card in the deck for his hand to improve. A player’s hand that has no up cards being shown by his opponents is considerably stronger than one with them showing. 7 card stud players should note that this is easily the difference between the hand being playable and the hand being useless. Drawing that fine line will make certain hands profitable and unprofitable, depending on the cards being shown by opponents.

For example, if a player is holding JJ6, a 3 brings in the bet and a 5 raises the opponent with three other players calling the pot. Now at this very moment in time, the player might well have the best hand on the table. If his opponents have shown up cards so that there is a six out and both the jacks are out, it makes the hand almost unplayable. This is because even though the hand might be good on third street, it is unlikely to gain any value on the rest of the streets. If there was no raise and only one of the jacks and 6′s were showing, then it might be worth trying to get in cheaply to draw for a big hand. However, because both the jacks are showing, it makes the pair a player holds dead and the hand is almost worthless beyond third street.

A stud player must understand that even though he may be holding the best hand with the jacks in the hole, stud is not a three-card game. An opponent is more than likely going to improve his hand to a pair better than jacks and if a poker player knows that his hand is not likely to improve, it is sometimes simply better to muck it if they cannot take down the pot right then. The more opponents in the pot, the more likely it is that a stud player will lose with his jacks when they are dead.

Are you ready to move on from the boring slots games and start gambling for real. If you want to regain some control of how much you’ve already placed in the pot, and you’re looking for it in a poker game, some would argue Let it Ride affords you the ability to do just that – remove bets from the middle depending on the current strength of your hand. Of course, there’s much more to the game than just that, so let’s take a look.

Let it Ride is a poker themed game found in most casinos throughout the United States. The object is to beat a pair of tens…at least. You have to make a poker hand that ranks equal to or higher than this amount in order to win any money. Throughout the game, if you don’t think your hand is gonna quick have what it takes to get you there, you can take bets back. If you do, you can…wait for it…. “let it ride!”

The rules: Players start by offering a trio of bets, all of the same amount. After they’ve been placed, each player receives three cards, hidden. Two hidden community cards are also placed on the table.

After you see your part of the hand, you can take back one of your three bets if you like.

The PartyPoker.com dealer then turns the first community card. Once gain, players face the same choice as before, remove a bet or let it ride. Important to note here, you don’t have to follow any pattern. If you removed before, you can still do whatever you want the second time. There’s no correlation between rounds.

Now dealer flips the last community card. At this point, your bet is your bet, and your winning is determined solely on the strength of your hand. You don’t play against any dealer hand in this game.

Strategy, like in any other game, is involved, and something I’ll go into at a later date in more detail.

Payouts, what everyone wants to know. How much can I win on any online casino playing let it ride? There is a commonly accepted standard for most casinos, although some might differ slightly depending on where you play.

The odds are a bit better than Caribbean Stud once you get above the three of a kind barrier. A Pair tens or better is 1:1. Two pair is 2:1. Three of a kind is 3:1. A straight jumps you to 5:1, flush is at 8:1, full house is at 11:1…all the way up to a Royal Flush at a cool 1,000:1.

My advice here. If you’re not the most patient of absolute poker players when it comes to action, I’d skip this game. Unless you pull multiple upper-echelon hands in the same sitting, it’s going to be tough to swing the chip count wildly in your favor over a short period of time. It’s a fun game, doesn’t require as much strategy, reading or decision making as other poker games, but you can still lose a nice chunk of change if you make the wrong calls repeatedly while sitting on a cold run of cards.

There are a few differences when a player finds themselves playing in higher limit 7 card stud games when compared to lower stakes games. These differences mean that high limit 7 card stud players are forced to adjust their game to stay winning players. High stakes games are usually more often populated with higher level thinking 7 card stud players. It is harder to find complete fish at these games too. In order for a good 7 card stud player to profit, they must up their game.

Higher limit 7 card stud games on poker cheats tend to have higher antes. For example, a $15/$30 game typically will have a $2.00 while a $50/$100 will have a $10 ante. The $50/$100 ante is the equivalent of a $3 at a $15/$30 so it can be seen that the ante is proportionally higher. It makes it much more profitable for limpers to limp in with higher antes. This means that a 7 card stud player should raise many hands that he might consider only calling with at a lower game to ensure that the limpers stay out of the pots.

In a pot where a 7 card stud player is against opponents that understand the dynamics of a high limits game, stud players will find that their opponents will start to raise a lot more due to the larger antes being played. This, in turn, means that in order to adjust a higher stakes stud game, a player must start to raise and re-raise opponents more often. If opponents are raising lighter due to bigger antes, it would make sense that a player should re-raise lighter because they know their opponents are raising light. This should become more regular if a player realises that re-raises are knocking their opponents out of the pot. However, if the 7 card stud player feels that their re-raises are simply being called a lot of the time, he should maybe decide to cut down on re-raising so light.

For instance, in tournaments where an opponent with a 5 raises, another player with a 7 calls, a third opponent with jacks calls and the player sees queens in the hole – he should probably call. Re-raising this hand will not knock anyone out due to the sufficient pot odds they have for calling the re-raise. A better option would be if only one player with a 4 has raised and the rest of the table has folded. The poker player can arrive at the conclusion that the original opponent he is going to re-raise is raising with a larger hand range, which means that him holding queens will make a re-raise profitable. Half the time, the online stud player will take down the pot and the other half he will play on with what is most likely the best hand.

Blackjack is one of the most popular games played in the casino and it’s one of the simplest games to win money in because there isn’t much of a house advantage. I want to share some great tips with you that will help you next time you’re at the blackjack tables as long as you implement them. You could also play online blackjack which might be easier because then you won’t need to memorize the tips and you could just keep them open while you’re playing. Anyways let’s get started with the tips that I want to share with you.

    * By most blackjack rules you’re allowed to split your pairs when you want too, but it isn’t always wise to split your pairs. I never suggest splitting up 10’s because you already have a 20 and you don’t want to risk busting or getting a lower hand and losing.

    * You should always make sure that if you’re dealt two aces you split those because the chances of hitting a blackjack on both of them are fairly high. You won’t be dealt two aces often so make sure you always split them when you have the opportunity.

    * Some players are always confused about whether or not they should ever buy insurance when they’re playing blackjack. I never recommend players buying insurance because most of the time it’s a waste of money.

    * When the dealer is showing a 2-6 I recommend standing on any hand 12 or higher because the chances of the dealer busting this hand is really high and in your favour to stand no matter what your total is.

    * When the dealer is showing a 10 you need to be careful about standing with anything lower then 17 because your chances of winning are slim. Even at 17 your chances are slim, but hitting at 17 isn’t the smartest move unless you’re counting cards and the deck is juiced with low cards.

    * Blackjack Card Counting isn’t illegal in most countries or cities and although most casinos will kick you out and ban you from coming back you’re allowed to count cards in most destinations. Counting cards isn’t difficult either and there are many great strategies on counting cards that you can find on our website.

    * You need to make sure that you’re able to find a table that fits your bankroll for that session. If you have $100 for your session then you want to find a table with a $5 minimum per hand and you should stick with $5 bets unless you’re winning a lot of counting cards.

    * I suggest always doubling down when you have a 10 or 11 valued hand because the chances of hitting a 20-21 are high and worth the risk of doubling your bet. You’ll need to win some double down bets because this is where most of your profit will come from.

    * You want the dealer to be your friend and not your enemy in a casino such as The Wynn in Las Vegas, so make sure you tip the dealer a $1 or $2 when you’re winning. They don’t get paid much money and rely on tips so don’t be cheap and throw them a $1 chip every once in awhile. Make sure you study some basic blackjack strategy before trying to play at a real casino.
